Areva bags two contracts worth Rs 280 cr
NEW DELHI: Energy transmission and distribution firm Areva said on Monday said it has bagged two contracts worth Rs 280 crore from Power Grid Corporation.
Areva’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division in India has been awarded two contracts for Extra High Voltage turnkey projects at the Moga (Punjab) and Bhiwani (Haryana) plants by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), a company statement sai d.
The two orders, with a combined value of Rs 2,800 million (Rs 280 crore), are for the supply and installation of air-insulated substations for the transmission grid, it added.
Areva T&D will also provide 765 kV circuit breakers and substation automation systems as part of the project. - PTI
