why ISO 9000 got a bad name ...

it was the days of ISO 9001: 1994
where we had 15 mandatory procedures and heaps of records
and consultants and auditors understood the Standard as

Write what u DO
and DO as u WROTE

this is bullshit
we have to do a GAP AUDIT first and cut down on unnecessary documentation and records
The standard now is PERFORMANCE oriented

the MEANS is not important
setting targets for improvement and achieving them is of utmost importtance
while also observing all the SHALL requirements
