Time bombs in INDIA

The hazardous locations in INDIA are:

Area 1
Coal Mines (Group I)
under the jurisdiction of CIFMR (CMRI), Dhanbad

Area 2
Surface Hazardous locations viz Factories with inflammable gases present
formerly DGFASLI, now no Authority to regulate


Area 3
Refineries
under CCoE (PESO)

Area 4
Ordinance Depots, etc

Today for area 2
INADEQUATE Regulation
only prototype approval and testing by CMRI or CPRI

No surveillance
IS /IEC 60079 Not Mandatory
