Certification in compliance with PAS 1037:2004
According to current legislation, bodies responsible for educational institutions are obliged to operate and document an effective quality management system. At the same time this is one of the main prerequisites for approval as a recognised educational institution according to AZWV.
Besides ISO 9001:2000, DEKRA Certification also offers certification to the industry standard PAS 1037:2004. This industry-specific phase model for providers of educational services takes a consistently process-orientated approach, based on the quality principles of customer focus and communications. Analogous to the standard ISO 9001:2000 model, a distinction is made between management, performance and support processes.
The main processes of PAS 1037:2004
- Managing and developing educational organisations
- Providing and developing employees, trainers and learning infrastructure
- Compiling, implementing and evaluating educational programmes
- Measuring, analysing and improving educational processes
- Equipping and designing classrooms
The requirements – three different performance levels
- Basic level
Documentation of basic quality capabilities and process organisation - Standard level
Customer- and process-orientated management system - Excellence level
Introduction and implementation of excellence principles
From the Basic performance level to PAS 1037:2004 the educational organisation already fulfils the requirements for approval according to AZWV. In addition, the Standard performance level to PAS 1037:2004 can be granted within the ongoing development of the quality management system in conjunction with a certification to ISO 9001:2000.
