LVD and EMC

LVD/EMC Certification
Electrical devices are given CE Mark certification under the LVD or EMC directive.
LVD or Low voltage device directive is applicable to all electrical products which operate in the voltage range of 50 to 1000 Volts AC and 75 to 1500 Volts DC.
EMC or electromagnetic compatibility talks of compliance for electromagnetic emissions by a particular device.
CE Mark Certification under LVD / EMC directive involves:-
  • Risk Estimation & Control
  • Preparation of technical file that contains all documents that proves the compliance of the product to the required standards and rules.
  • Cross reference with EN Standards.
  • User manual preparation for safe operation of the product.
  • Testing Methods and Procedures.
  • Declaration of conformity.
  • Essential Safety Requirements analysis.
  • Test reports for EMC / LVD compliance as per relevant standards.
  • Audit report for LVD/EMC Compliance
