ISO 9001 may not be RIGHT for u

Any organization, Association or Institution (even your family unit) can be certified to ISO 9001,

getting certified to ISO 9001 is no big achievement

u must do RISK ASSESSMENT to determine your CRITICAL Processes and choose the RIGHT certification for those processes

e.g.

ISO 17025 and ISO 15189 for labs and test houses

automotive ancillary industry needs ISO/TS 16949

food processors need ISO 22000

CALL CENTERS need ISO 27001 and ISO 20000

Medical Device manufacturers need ISO 13485

Drugs and Pharma units meed WHO GMP and cGMP for exports to USA

CE/ CSA/ UL Marking for product certification

There are also IMAGE building certifications such as :

ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SA 8000
