Paul - thanks for the update. The ISO website still shows it at Stage: 40.60 (2009-01-02)
I'll contact our NSB and see what changes were made. | 1st March 2009, 04:39 PM | Auditor/Consultant Registration Date: Aug 2005 Location: Ohio Age: 54 | | Posts: 3,266 Thanks Given to Others: 354 Thanked 616 Times in 431 Posts Karma Power: 176 | | Re: ISO 9004:2009 - Managing for Sustainability – A Quality Management System Approac Quote: Originally Posted by Paul Simpson If anyone is still interested ISO TC 176 took the vote and has sent 9004 for editing and publication as a final draft - still with the intent to get it out this year. | I'm interested. The 9004 standard is a very good document. I hope it will be after the revison. Most of my ISO 9001 clients use it internally, many of them in place of the 9001 book.
Anyone who is involved with ISO 9001, that has not read it, I can categorically recommend you get a copy. It is worth reading by the whole management team, especially if you are at a company that does not think ISO 9001 provides much benefit.
It is that good!
Thanks, Paul. __________________ Relentlessly Pursue Excellence! | 1st March 2009, 08:06 PM | | Consultant and Auditor Registration Date: Feb 2006 Location: Melbourne, Australia | | Posts: 1,020 Thanks Given to Others: 318 Thanked 372 Times in 258 Posts Karma Power: 88 | | Re: ISO 9004:2009 - Managing for Sustainability – A Quality Management System Approac Quote: Originally Posted by Paul Simpson If anyone is still interested ISO TC 176 took the vote and has sent 9004 for editing and publication as a final draft - still with the intent to get it out this year. | Thanks for keeping us updated Paul. Thanks, Paul. | I agree, it is a good document and whilst I am sure the 'new' 9004 will be very useful, I would have liked to see the 2000 version updated and retained whilst the new one sits alongside, say 9004-2.
Still, we can still use the good info in the 2000 version alongside 9001:2008 as the changes were not substantial. __________________ If you think training is expensive, try ignorance | Visitors Currently Viewing this Thread: 1 (0 Registered Visitors and 1 Unregistered Guests) | | Posting Settings | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | |
